OUR TRAINING IS FINISHED AND WE'RE FOR SALE! Lisa has worked very hard training (or re-training) us, and we're ready to go to new homes now, but you have to be a GOOD home or Lisa won't sell us to you. Come take a look at us, you'll be glad you did. You can AFFORD us, and we're GREAT horses!
Not all of us that are for sale have our photos and bios below, because Lisa is too busy working with the NEW lesson horses to get ALL of us in here! But COME VISIT and take a look around - we're all here at River Song, waiting for you!
Just tell Lisa what you're looking for, and she'll tell you if she has a horse that's just right for you. There are Children's horses, Trail horses, Adult Pleasure horses and one Pony. HI, MY NAME'S BABE!
I'm an experienced, mature horse, and I'm just one of the best trail horses you'll ever ride! I'm short (15.2H) but my back is comfortable, and I'm quiet, and gentle, and really, really safe. If you're just a little kid and need to be taken care of, Lisa will put you on ME. Or if you're a nervous adult, or haven't ridden for a long time, I'm your gal. I'm just a sweetheart. I have soft, gentle eyes! I'll get you where you're going and I have lots of love to give. I don't ask for much in life, just a nice big bale of hay and a kind riders, and I'm happy. I'll take you anywhere you want to go on trail, and I'll make sure you get home safe and happy. I usually like to just walk along nice and easy, but if you want me to trot or canter I'll do it for you readily.
I love treats. ANY kind of treats. Lisa brings us treats, even in winter when there's lots of snow and ice on the ground, and I like carrots best. There I am, all bundled up in my blanket and neck rug, eating carrots, the happiest horse in the world! I have friends, and hay, and carrots!!!
FOR SALE I'm for sale because Lisa isn't going to do trail rides any more - could YOU be my next owner? Will you take good care of me? PLEASE??? I don't want to go to the auction - someone mean might buy me! I don't mind work at all, but I'm too old to be used really hard, and I'm scared. I'd make such a GREAT first horse for a child or a beginning adult trail rider - I'm what you call a babysitter horse, you can leave your kids with ME and I'll take very, very good care of them. I'll carry them around all day, and they can hang off me and I'll just stand there soaking up the love. Lisa paid a a lot of money for me at auction last year as a trail horse (so you know a lot of people thought quite highly of me and wanted me!), and now I'm even BETTER! I love to live outside, too, so you don't have to stall me, I do just fine in a pasture or dry lot. I love it here at Lisa's - but she says she'll find me somebody really nice to love me and ride me, an owner all my very own. Could that be YOU?
$1,100 High quality heavy turnout blanket and neck rug included.

HI, MY NAME'S BULLWINKLE!
I'm called Bullwinkle because I'm tall, but I'm a kids' horse, and I just LOVE kids. (That's a child's saddle on my back in the picture, I'd just finished teaching a lesson to a small child when Lisa took the picture). I've had thousands of kids on my back over the years, and I've taught them all to ride. I'm a pretty good teacher, you know. If you're a beginner, just get on my back, and I'll show you the ropes! It doesn't matter if you're 6 or 60, big or small, short or tall, EVERYONE can ride ME!
I'm very gentle and kind, and I love attention and give lots of love back. Some people were scared of me because I'm so big, but once they've ridden me everybody just wants to ride ME again. I'm pretty popular. I have a nice smooth trot, and a soft, soft canter that is easy to sit, and I jump too!
My favorite treat is Manna Wafer butterscotch treats. THOSE are GREAT!!! Lisa has to remember to bring a whole pocketful for me, because I'll follow her around my paddock and almost nudge her arm off until she's given me all the butterscotch treats she has in her pocket. I'm RELENTLESS when she has those!
FOR SALE I'm for sale because Lisa bought me to take big men on trail rides, and she doesn't want to do a lot of trail rides any more. I'm such a GENTLE giant, and I would be just PERFECT for a beginning rider. I do both English and Western, and I'll teach you how to ride both. PLEASE, please come take a look at ME. I can do anything you want me to do!
$600 High quality, heavy turnout blanket and neck rug included.

HI, MY NAME'S LADY!
SOLD!
I'm the most beautiful Lady here. I'm all black, with a long, long black mane and tail, dark brown eyes and a kind heart. I look like those beautiful Andalusian horses! I used to be a cow horse, and lived on a ranch, and when Lisa bought me I didn't know anything about people. I wouldn't even look Lisa in the eye. People hadn't ever really spoken to me, they'd just gotten on my back and rode off on me.
Then Lisa bought me and boy, did my life change! She taught me all about kisses, and treats, and love, and now I'm the first one at the gate any time any people are around - I want to be the one chosen! I love taking people for rides now. If we're going on a trail ride, I'm usually given to the more advanced students, because I have curiosity and energy and beauty, and I like to canter! So Lisa uses me a lot for trail ride lessons, but if it's just a normal walk-only trail ride, people who have ridden before like me because they can sneak in a little trot now and then when Lisa isn't looking.
Lisa also uses me to give lessons and I like that too. Although I'm mostly a Western horse, Lisa taught me to ride English too. It doesn't matter what saddle you put on me, I have lovely, easy gaits to ride, and I'll do whatever you ask me to do, except jump. But I'm REALLY good at Western, so if you want to learn to ride Western, come ask for me!!! I used to do COWS for a living, you know! And if you put a cow in front of me (not too likely at Lisa's) - just hold on!!! I'll GET that cow for you!!
My favorite treats are those butterscotch Manna Wafers. I LOVE those. But since I never had any treats before I came here, bring whatever you like and surprise me with something new! THAT would be fun! I LIKE this new people thing. People are WONDERFUL! Treats are great too.
FOR SALE I'm another horse Lisa bought to give trail rides, but then she trained me to do other things too. Since I was a cow horse, and did that job on a ranch, I'm already a great ranch horse, and would make a GREAT roping horse too! But since I'm not very tall, and so gentle and kind, Lisa trained me to be a great kid's horse too. She is using me for Children's Summer Riding Camp this year, and I'm one of the most popular horses. Even the six-year-olds ride me easily! Even though I'm not too tall, I'm a COW horse, stocky and strong, so I can carry any man too! I do what you ask me to do, and I'll ALWAYS be the first at the gate to greet you in the morning, kisses and horsie hugs galore! I'm young, too, only 8 years old, and even though I have no papers, I LOOK like I do! Please, PLEASE come look at me. I want my very own owner, I want to BELONG to somebody who loves me, and ONLY me!

HI, MY NAME'S MISSY!
I'm a beautiful, tiny Appaloosa horse, and I'm GORGEOUS!! I'm a pretty strawberry roan with a white brown-spotted blanket on my rump. I used to be a trail horse but was very shy with people and horses both, but after just a few weeks here I went from being shy to trying to beat Lady to the gate for people's attention! Since I'm small and my gaits are so smooth, I'm a perfect horse for a child that rides fairly well, and I'm ready to meet new people! I love to take people on trail rides, too, and I'm a GREAT kid's trail horse!
I like all kinds of treats, but I like apples the best. I've never had those before, and I think they're the most wonderful food ever! I never had ANY treats before I came here, and although I like those peppermint wafers, apples are SO sweet and delicious! I still can't quite figure out what's so great about carrots, though. I spit those out.
FOR SALE Lisa has to sell me because she doesn't want to do big trail rides any more, just trail ride lessons, and I'm too small of a trail horse for most people to ride. I'm more a child's, young girl's or small adult size, and my gaits are just a bit too fast for me to be a very young child's lesson horse (Pong the Pony does that, anyway, and he guards his job jealously!). But I'm a REALLY good trail horse, I'm a DREAM to ride on trail! I'm SOOOO smooth, and like to move right along, and do whatever you ask me to do! I'm really, REALLY pretty; I have the most lovely, beautiful markings and my small body is perfectly proportioned. I'm young, too, about 6 years old, so you'll have me for a LONG time. I've NEVER done anything silly, or scary, EVER, and although I'm kind of shy at first, I'm very sweet and and loving. I'm completely sound, my hooves hardly ever need trimming and they're hard as rocks, I'm tough and hardy and live outside and love it. I just need ONE child or young rider to love me and spoil me silly, and I'll carry them safely wherever they want to go. If you give me lots of love, I give ALL or it, and more, back to you. Come try me out!

HI, MY NAME'S NOBLE (AQHA REGISTERED NAME HOW D MR. ZIPPER)
Sire, Zips Dude sired by Zip to Impress and dam Nifty Cross; Zip to Impress sire Impressive and dam Scarborough Fair; Nifty Cross sire Diamonds Cross and dam Lady Vernon 163.
Dam: How D Flashy Miss sired by Tee Jay Roman and dam Skip Mary Montleon; Tee Jay Roman sire Jackie Bee and dam Nero S. Leota; Skip Mary Montleon sire Skip Turry & dam Hot Robyn.
Noble was blinded in the right eye in the trailer out from New York, no one knows how it happened. Nonetheless, he was somehow hit so hard that the retina detached and he will not regain his sight in that eye. He is a very loving and affectionate horse, and is also very, very smart with a tremendous sense of humor. He likes to play games like "steal your hat" and thinks his tricks are quite funny (they are).
His gaits are to die for - that teeny tiny little pitter pat quarter horse jog, and a lope so smooth and small you hardly feel it, despite his muscular build. You could ride this horse all day and never be uncomfortable in the least. He does ride English but is truly a Western horse, and he prefers the loose contact of a Western rein.
Noble has been out all summer riding trails, and LOVES it! He has so much fun, and although it looks as if he is trying to see out of his right eye sometimes, he trusts his rider and does not spook at noises, anything flapping in the wind, or huge deer jumping out of the brush in front of him. All he needs is one owner to love and he will be the best horse you will ever own. He's just a One-Owner guy!
He has it all - breeding, conformation, brains and good temperament.
He gives great hugs, too! He'll wrap his neck around your shoulders and just hold you there for 15 minutes, and he is the one horse who will ALWAYS trot all the way across the pasture when he sees you coming just to love you up a bit and say hello. In fact, all you have to do is call his name, he comes when he's called. He is a VERY loving horse!
DON'T MISS THIS ONE! He's the best sale horse here. He MUST be sold because there are several new lesson horses and boarders coming in, trail riding season is almost over, and the stall space is needed for winter lesson program horses!
